'Wilderness' Layered Silver Mountain Bear and Wild Salmon Necklace with Chrysocholla
Deep in the mountains, where humans rarely venture, a lone bear makes his way along the ancient pine forest path to the shores of the wild salmon lake. Constructed from five layers of sterling silver with great care and attention to detail, no casting or mass production is involved in the creation of this necklace. Each layer has been meticulously cut by hand and then soldered together. On the reverse of the necklace I have added more wild salmon details. 'Wilderness' hangs from an oxidised sterling silver chain finished with one of my hand made clasps and detailed with a silver crescent moon. The pendant and chain have been oxidised and lightly brushed to a satin finish. They are waxed with a microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that will lighten with wear on raised areas. 'Wilderness' will come gift boxed - perfect for giving. As with all of my pieces, each and every jump ring is soldered closed to prevent any piece of the pendant coming apart or getting lost.
