Entirely handmade by me and constructed from thick sterling silver, this beautiful moth is set with seventeen gemstones - amethyst, garnet, green onyx, peridot and turquoise. She hangs from a chain which is entirely handmade from amethyst, garnet, green onyx, and turquoise beads, each individually and meticulously hand wrapped with sterling silver wire. Her chain is finished with a handmade clasp. The silver has been oxidised, highlighted and waxed with a microcrystalline wax to give a satin, slightly brushed finish. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that can continue to lighten with wear. As with all of my pieces, each and every jump ring is soldered closed to prevent any piece of the pendant coming apart or getting lost.
