Insect Statement Necklace Multi-Layered Silver with 9 Carat Yellow Gold and Black Mojave Turquoise
This gorgeous silver insect necklace is constructed from three layers of sterling silver with solid 9 carat gold crescent moon and granulation. The necklace is set with a stunning round black mojave turquoise - a composite turquoise which is dyed and impregnated with bronze veins. Each layer has been meticulously cut by hand and then soldered together. The oxidised sterling silver chain is finished with one of my handmade clasps. The pendant and chain have been oxidised and lightly brushed to highlight the details and give a satin finish. The silver is waxed with a microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that will lighten with wear on raised areas. Handmade with great care and attention to detail - no casting or mass production is involved in the creation of this necklace. Your necklace will come gift boxed - perfect for giving. As with all of my pieces, each and every jump ring is soldered closed to prevent any piece of the pendant coming apart or getting lost.
